Fw: Thank you for registering your Magellan product!

You may already be aware of this, but in case you're not. . .Magellan sucks!  The GPS maker, not the dead explorer whose name they disgrace and dishonor.  Not only do you NOT get a free map update - which anyone surely wants on a unit that may have been sitting on shelves for a year or more - their website lists the Spring 2010 map update as the latest one available!!!

To further the insult, I found a dead link (without looking very hard).  I guess either of the following is no big deal taken on it's own, but together amounts to a legitimate gripe: they fail to include in the box a USB cable as well as a disc with any software or digital version of the manual!

Fortunately, this crappy product (model 1424, Roadmate I think) was a door prize so not a cent was wasted on it.  I've had nothing but joy with my Garmin 1300, btw.  The prices just keep dropping, so if you've been contemplating it, go online and find a deal on one!

The most encouraging and uplifting news i've ever seen/heard in an audio-visual medium

It's downright disgusting that this ever became necessary, and given the recent Supreme Court ruling,
I've found myself wishing that we could impeach those who voted in favor of what is clearly hate speech,
and deserves NO protection whatsoever.  The Westboro "Baptist Church" is as great a scar on Christianity
today as the Spanish Inquisition was in its day -- although obviously much less widespread and fatal.

"Christianity, if false, is of no importance, and if true, of infinite importance.
The only thing it cannot be is moderately important."
C. S. Lewis
