This country's continued "War on Drugs" is the most quixotic, prolonged joke of a policy that the world has ever seen.  Our urban violent crime rates are about twice what they could be, our prisons contain about twice as many people as they should, countless people are needlessly suffering amid terminal illnesses, and billions of tax dollars are not being collected. . .all because nobody in DC has the cojones or common sense to admit that MAYBE, JUST MAYBE we should question the logic of this idiotic war on the Constitution.

Can anyone even keep a straight face while claiming that marijuana is more dangerous than alcohol or tobacco?!  There has NEVER been a verified case of death by marijuana, or date rape related to it, and it would be nearly impossible for weed abuse to result in nearly as many deaths as alcoholabuse (vehicular alone).  A fraction of the money that's spent on trying to keep people from lighting up joints (PSAs & posters, police and their pooches, etc.) would cover the meager amount of recovery and rehabilitation expenses that would arise from legalizing it.

As unchristian and liberal as folks like the ACLU, TV & film industry, and even mainstream media have become, it's amazing that they would make no apparent effort to tackle the War on Drugs, whose sole reason for existing seems to be conservative tradition.
